Your brick story

There is no way I can really understand it when oldies talk about school being the best years. I hated it - the bullying, the not fitting in, the adoration of the sporty kids, the weird looks because I wasn't good at anything that was popular, because I didn't have the clothes or the rep.

I always felt different and I seem to recall there were a few other kids there who seemed to put a lot of energy into making sure that I knew it too.

If I ever have kids - I am never going to tell them these were the best years - it is just work for kids.

Hi Rif, you're brick speaks for those who didn't have a good time at school. It seems as though it was pretty awful time for you, perhaps it is relief to be away from it. Children can be very nasty to one another. I'm just wondering how you are saying this here? Soph

Did any one really have a good time at school - it is an illusion? It was the time I learnt that I wasn't like anyone else and people don't cope with those who are different. It continues still.
